Abstract: A poluicao atmosferica e um dos problemas ambientais da humanidade e acende a preocupacao com a sustentabilidade. Esse problema tem se agravado e provocado efeitos prejudiciais ao ambiente e a saude da populacao. Como a poluicao nao pode ser completamente eliminada e preciso que seja monitorada. Os bioindicadores estao entre os metodos de medicao de qualidade ambiental. Eles podem indicar a presenca de poluentes atmosfericos tais como compostos orgânicos de carbono, enxofre, halogenados, nitrogenio e material particulado. O objetivo deste estudo e apresentar uma revisao bibliografica dos trabalhos disponiveis envolvendo bioindicadores vegetais no biomonitoramento da poluicao atmosferica, de modo a realizar o levantamento das especies utilizadas como bioindicadores, os meios de deteccao dos poluentes e as tecnicas utilizadas. Foram relacionadas 19 especies nos 27 estudos, sendo 16 especies pertencentes a divisao Angiospermae, 1 genero a divisao Bryophyta, e 2 duas especies de liquens. Os resultados obtidos apontam para uma grande diversidade de especies, mostrando que ha potencial de aplicacao desses em biomonitoramento. Abstract: Este artigo analisa o potencial de uma brinquedoteca para a promocao da alfabetizacao cientifica (AC) de criancas. Para a producao de dados, realizou-se observacao e registro de tres areas de uma brinquedoteca. A analise foi realizada com base na ferramenta teorico-metodologica de indicadores e atributos de alfabetizacao cientifica. Como principais referenciais teoricos destacam-se discussoes sobre alfabetizacao cientifica como processo que ocorre dentro e fora da escola e implica a apropriacao de elementos da cultura cientifica com vistas a participacao social. A discussao sobre infância foi realizada com base nos aportes da Sociologia da Infância, e brincar/brinquedo foram conceituados especialmente a partir de Brougere. Conclui-se que a brinquedoteca, ao inserir em seu espaco, areas e objetos que remetem a temas cientificos, pode contribuir para o processo de AC de criancas, possibilitando a aproximacao entre culturas infantis e elementos da cultura cientifica. This article analyzes the potential of a toy library for promoting children’s scientific literacy (SL). Data was produced through observation and registration of three areas of a toy library. The analysis was based on the theoretical-methodological tool formed by indicators and attributes of scientific literacy. As the main theoretical references, the article highlights discussion about scientific literacy as a process that takes place inside and outside school and implicates appropriation of scientific culture elements to enable social participation. The discussion about childhood was made based on Sociology of Childhood approach, and play/ toy were conceptualized especially from Brougere. The article concludes that the toy library, with objects that refer to scientific themes, contributes to children’s SL process, allowing an approximation between childhood cultures and elements of scientific culture.

Abstract: This paper is regarding the development of a tri-band bandpass filter based on T-shape resonators for multi-standard wireless networks. The filter dimensions have been optimized by using an evolutionary strategy algorithm in order to obtain three resonance frequencies and two transmission zeros. Our algorithm is a friendly and computational intelligence approach based on biological inspirations from the parents and offsprings relations for multi-object problems. Experiments results and full-wave simulations validate the proposed strategy and demonstrate its efficiency. The filter prototype provides three bands at 0.75, 1.67 and 2.60 GHz with a maximum insertion loss of 0.99 dB.

Abstract: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by a decrease in social interaction, communication, creativity, imagination, and organization of daily activities of those who have this condition. People with ASD present difficulties in the comprehension of figurative language, such as idioms. Due to the lack of mobile applications that support people with ASD in the comprehension of Chilean idioms, this project presents the design and development of an application for multitouch devices that support the comprehension of these linguistic expressions. The application is free and can currently be found on the Google Play platform with highly positive reviews.
