TL;DR: In this paper, a conjunto simplificado de indicadores that enable identificar diferentes niveis de vulnerabilidade ao desabastecimento de agua is presented.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors assessed works on physical education in early childhood education conducted at graduate programs available at the online catalog of thesis and dissertations of CAPES (acronym for Brazil’s Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel).
Abstract: As the first step of Basic Education, Early Childhood Education has undergone several changes in the last decades. Driven by society, educational laws were altered and reflected directly on school Physical Education, which now must meet the demands of early childhood Education. Therefore, this study assesses works on Physical Education in Early Childhood Education conducted at graduate programs available at the online Catalog of Thesis and Dissertations of CAPES (acronym for Brazil’s Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). We adopted integrative revision as a methodological resource. The analysis of the results showed increase in the number of dissertations and thesis on Physical Education in Early Childhood Education, both in PE and in Education programs. The topics covered from pedagogical practices, inclusion and valuation of PE, teacher training and life history, curricula and regulations to the difficulties in working in Early Childhood Education.

TL;DR: The method consists of assessing the correlation between fault occurrences in a distribution system with the occurrence of lightning in the concession area of a power utility company and a set of criteria for their preventive replacement.
Abstract: In the protection systems of power distribution networks, surge arresters are critical for protecting the grid against overvoltages caused by lightning. This equipment is subject to high voltages and currents during its operation, which degrades its expected lifetime. In general, the replacement of surge arresters is based on corrective maintenance procedures, which exposes the electrical system to failures since the protective characteristics of the arresters have already degraded. In this context, we seek to develop a new method for estimating the life span of surge arresters and a set of criteria for their preventive replacement. The method consists of assessing the correlation between fault occurrences in a distribution system with the occurrence of lightning in the concession area of a power utility company. In addition, the method assesses the correlation between the fault and lightning occurrences and data related to the degradation of such devices obtained by experimental and field tests in new surge arresters to estimate their life span and to implement a decision-making support system for their preventive substitution.

TL;DR: An overview of studies on tourism in Brazil published abroad in the English language between 1977 and 2014 can be found in this paper, where studies published as books, book chapters and scientific papers in journals were selected.
Abstract: The paper presents an overview of studies on tourism in Brazil published abroad in the English language between 1977 and 2014. Studies published as books, book chapters and scientific papers in journals were selected. The data collection technique used was the search in databases, consulting the curricula of the authors and search tools on the Internet. 149 published papers were identified..In 2012 22 studies were published, resulting in the year with the highest number of publications. Since then, the growing rate of publications has stabilized or even decreased a little. 73% (n=109) of the studies were published in scientific journals, 23% (n =35) in book chapters and 3% (n=5) in book format. Altogether 256 authors have published on the subject, but only 41 of them published at least two studies. The themes of the studies were varied, with the natural environment receiving slightly higher attention. In the word cloud of each work’s abstract the following words are highlighted: development, management, environmental, ecotourism, sustainable, destination and economic.

TL;DR: Using mother, pregnancy care and child at birth features, from a dataset containing neonatal samples from Sao Paulo city public health data, the proposed method encodes images features and uses a custom convolutional neural network architecture to classification.
Abstract: Infant mortality is a reflection of a complex combination of biological, socioeconomic and health care factors that require various data sources for a thorough analysis. Consequently, the use of specialized tools and techniques to deal with a large volume of data is extremely helpful. Machine learning has been applied to solve problems from many domains and presents great potential for the proposed problem, which would be an innovation in Brazilian reality. In this paper, an innovative method is proposed to perform a neonatal death risk assessment using computer vision techniques. Using mother, pregnancy care and child at birth features, from a dataset containing neonatal samples from Sao Paulo city public health data, the proposed method encodes images features and uses a custom convolutional neural network architecture to classification. Experiments show that the method is able to detect death samples with accuracy of 90.61%.
