TL;DR: A methodology named Causal Analysis and Resolution (CAR) based on Goals, Questions, and Metrics (GQM) principles is described, which aimed to monitor errors on design pattern tests in real-time embedded system of a software production line.
Abstract: This article describes a methodology named Causal Analysis and Resolution (CAR) based on Goals, Questions, and Metrics (GQM) principles. Indicators are defined based on metrics for a decision-making process. Its main contributions are the construction of an information process system model and a prototype, involving GQM approach, in a quantitative definition and qualitative metrics. The CAR methodology is a Process Area (PA) of the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMi) for software development from Carnegie Mellon University. This PA was used to eliminate systematic error cases listed in a Technical Report (TR) generated by CAR. An information system model was created to allow the elimination of defects, errors, and failures in a design pattern named IO Manager, during the test phase, and before its publication in a components library. The prototype was created using Rational Rose RealTime (RRRT) with focus on verification tests. It provided a quality assessment to the IO Manager design pattern. The use of this methodology was based on GQM and CAR along with the information process system model. The developed prototype aimed to monitor errors on design pattern tests in real-time embedded system of a software production line.

TL;DR: In this article, a modified Euclidean ARTMAP neural network with continuous training is used to detect and classify voltage disturbances in electric power distribution systems. But the proposed methodology is robust and efficient, providing a fast diagnosis process.
Abstract: This article presents a method to detect and classify voltage disturbances in electric power distribution systems using a modified Euclidean ARTMAP neural network with continuous training. This decision-making tool accelerates the procedures to restore the normal operation conditions providing security, reliability, and profits to utilities. Furthermore, it allows the diagnosis system to adapt to changes from the constant evolution of the electric system. The voltage signals features or signatures are extracted using discrete wavelet transform, multiresolution analysis, and the energy concept. Results show that the proposed methodology is robust and efficient, providing a fast diagnosis process. The data set used to validate the proposal is obtained by simulations in a real distribution system using ATP software.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyze the legislation that implements and regulates the National High School Reform, above all from the transformations in Professional Education through the introduction of training itineraries, and conclude that the reform further explains the duality between a training aimed at the continuation and deepening of studies and another focused on work.
Abstract: his article analyzes the legislation that implements and regulates the National High School Reform, above all, from the transformations in Professional Education through the introduction of training itineraries. We seek to cover the changes in the National Curriculum Guidelines for Secondary Education, the General National Curriculum Guidelines for Professional and Technological Education that followed the changes proposed by Law 13.415 / 2017. We conclude that the Reform of Secondary Education further explains the duality between a training aimed at the continuation and deepening of studies and another focused on work. In the context of vocational training, the reform engenders a second duality, which we call the duality of duality, which marks the distinction between training in technical courses and short professional qualification courses. We analyzed the reform mechanisms that open space for the externalization of training, public-private partnerships, Distance Education and for a process of certification and recognition of skills acquired outside of school, which could mean a real process of unschooling Education Professional and high school.

TL;DR: In this article, Pb-Bi alloys from peritectic systems were directionally solidified under transient heat flow conditions, which is the class of heat flow encompassing the majority of industrial solidification processes.
Abstract: In the present study, Pb–Bi as a model of alloys from peritectic systems was directionally solidified under transient heat flow conditions, which is the class of heat flow encompassing the majority of industrial solidification processes. Some experiments were also carried out in a vertical tube furnace under cooling rates closer to equilibrium during solidification in order to broaden the range of solidification parameters. Thermal parameters such as the tip growth rate (VL) and the cooling rate were experimentally determined and correlated with the primary (λ1) and secondary (λ2) dendrite arm spacings by experimental growth laws. It is shown that the proposed growth laws are able to encompass also the growth of dendritic branches during steady state growth from the melt.
