TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method for sending a clearing request message to a server computer, where the clearing request consists of a transaction identifier and transaction identifier derived from the transaction identifier.
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a server computer, first a clearing request message, where the clearing request message comprises a transaction identifier; generating a second clearing request message and transmitting the second clearing request message to a first computer, the second clearing request message including a first derived transaction identifier derived from the transaction identifier; and generating a third clearing request message and transmitting the third clearing request message to a second computer, the third clearing request message including a second derived transaction identifier derived from the transaction identifier.

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of controlled randomization in authorizing virtual reality interactions is discussed, where a user of a virtual reality (VR) device may seek to initiate an interaction within the virtual reality environment.
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to the use of controlled randomization in authorizing virtual reality interactions. More specifically, a user of a virtual reality (VR) device may seek to initiate an interaction within the virtual reality environment. In order for the interaction to be allowed for the user, a processing computer may need the user to supply an additional credential. In some cases, the user may enter the additional credential using a series of virtual keypads that are rendered in the virtual reality environment. These keypads may have varying layouts that are determined in a controlled manner (e.g., pseudo-randomly) using pre-determined mathematical procedures. The layout of a subsequent keypad may be partially based on the user's selection in a preceding keypad. The keypad positions for the user's selections may be provided to the processing computer to solve for the credential which can be used for validation purposes.

TL;DR: In this article, a verification system is incorporated into an event processing network, such that the verification system can identify newly proposed events and determine whether they can be completed before the event is executed.
Abstract: A method for verifying that event can take place before the event is executed is disclosed. A verification system is incorporated into an event processing network, such that the verification system can identify newly proposed events and determine whether they can be completed. The verification system can inform the network about verification results through distributed blockchain records. Other changes in event status can also be communicated through and stored in blockchain records.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a method for combining multiple field values into a normalized value, generating codes using the normalized value and using the codes as activation codes, which is based on the idea of combining a plurality of field values associated with a set of fields, each of the fields being associated with an associated field radix.
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention broadly described, introduce systems and methods for combining multiple field values into a normalized value, generating codes using the normalized value, and using the codes as activation codes. One embodiment of the invention discloses a computer-implemented method for generating a code. The method comprises receiving a plurality of field values associated with a set of fields, each of the fields being associated with a field radix, converting the field values into numeric field values, combining, by a processor, numeric field values, each associated with a field, each of the fields associated with a field radix, to generate a normalized value, and generating, by the processor, a code representative of the plurality of field values using the normalized value.

TL;DR: In this paper, a communication portal coupled with a processing system and a host having a first resource is presented, where the processing system has a second resource addressable by a terminal using a predetermined communication protocol.
Abstract: A communication portal coupled with a processing system and a host having a first resource. The processing system has a second resource addressable by a terminal using a predetermined communication protocol. The communication portal receives a first communication from a terminal identifying the first resource. In response, the communication portal identifies the second resource, stores a data record associating the first resource and the second resource, and provides a response to the first communication to identify the second resource. The terminal then uses the communication protocol adapted for the second resource as a way to request an operation on the first resource. The portal communicates with the processing system to identify a request for an operation on the second resource and in response, communicates with the host to perform a second operation on the first resource based on the stored data record associating the first resource and the second resource.
