29 Sep 2009TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method for sending a first transaction notification message comprising an original payee identifier to a user, which can be used to correct one or more items in the transaction information.
Abstract: A method. The method includes a) sending a first transaction notification message comprising an original payee identifier to a user. The original payee identifier may be part of original transaction information associated with a first transaction. At some point, the user sees this transaction information and wants to correct one or more items in the transaction information. For example, the user may not recognize that the original payee identifier is wrong or is otherwise unrecognizable. The user may then contact a central server (e.g., via a Web site) and may provide updated transaction information such as an updated merchant identifier to the central server computer. This updated transaction information may be stored so that subsequent transactions can be accurately conducted and reported to the user, and other uses.

Abstract: A system and method for verifying a secure transaction by evaluating the transaction, generating a first verification value for the transaction, sending an electronic mobile message to a wireless device associated with the transaction, receiving a response from the wireless device to the electronic mobile message associated with the transaction and generating a new second verification value for the transaction based on the response is provided. The second verification value may be used to validate or invalidate the secure transaction.

28 Sep 2009TL;DR: In this paper, a system and a method for transaction clearing is described, which includes receiving, at a server computer, a transaction clearing request for a transaction, and then determining, using the server computers, if the transaction satisfies a stored blocking parameter.
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed. The method includes receiving, at a server computer, a transaction clearing request for a transaction, and then determining, using the server computer, if the transaction satisfies a stored blocking parameter. The method further includes allowing, using the server computer, the transaction clearing request if the transaction does not satisfy the stored blocking parameter, and denying, using the server computer, the transaction clearing request if the transaction satisfies the stored blocking parameter.

14 Mar 2013TL;DR: In this article, a system includes a transaction handler configured to split a transaction, initiated between an acquirer processor representing a merchant and an issuer processor representing an account holder, into separate transactions with the issuer processor and at least one sponsor processor that is configured to provide the benefit of offers to applicable transactions.
Abstract: A system includes a transaction handler configured to split a transaction, initiated between an acquirer processor representing a merchant and an issuer processor representing an account holder, into separate transactions with the issuer processor and at least one sponsor processor that is configured to provide the benefit of offers to applicable transactions. A portal is configured to notify the account holder of the award/redemption of the benefit of an offer using a communication channel separate from the transaction terminal that initiates and approves the transaction between the account holder and the merchant.
