TLDR
A computer program for simulating ground-water flow in three dimensions by using a block-centered finite-difference approach and has a modular structure, which permits the addition of new packages to the program without modifying existing packages.Abstract:
A computer program for simulating ground-water flow in three dimensions is presented. This report includes detailed explanations of physical and mathematical concepts on which the model is developed. Ground-water flow within the aquifer is simulated by using a block-centered finite-difference approach. The program is written in Fortran 77 and has a modular structure, which permits the addition of new packages to the program without modifying existing packages.read more

Digital simulation of the scale effect in hydraulic conductivity
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that hydraulic conductivity increases with the scale of testing, but the reason for this increase is not clear possibly, high-conductivity heterogeneities are more effective in raising hydraulic conductivities over the regional scale than at the local scale.

Transient modelling of water-table variation in a floodplain wetland, Narborough Bog, Leicestershire
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the application of a transient three-dimensional groundwater model to simulate water flux through a floodplain wetland, Narborough Bog, in Central England.

Alternative to Agricultural Drains in California's San Joaquin Valley: Results of a Regional-Scale Hydrogeologic Approach
TL;DR: In this article, a transient, three-dimensional simulation model was developed to evaluate the response of the water table to alternatives that affect recharge to or discharge from the groundwater flow system, including maintenance of present practices, land retirement, reduced recharge, increased groundwater pumping, and combinations of these alternatives.

Evaluating Regional Solutions to Salinization and Waterlogging in an Irrigated River Valley
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated potential solutions to high soil salinity levels and waterlogging problems on a regional scale using calibrated finite-difference flow and mass transport modeling for a portion of the Lower Arkansas River Valley in Colorado.
