A computer program for simulating ground-water flow in three dimensions by using a block-centered finite-difference approach and has a modular structure, which permits the addition of new packages to the program without modifying existing packages.Abstract:
A computer program for simulating ground-water flow in three dimensions is presented. This report includes detailed explanations of physical and mathematical concepts on which the model is developed. Ground-water flow within the aquifer is simulated by using a block-centered finite-difference approach. The program is written in Fortran 77 and has a modular structure, which permits the addition of new packages to the program without modifying existing packages.read more

Numerical investigation of lake bed seepage patterns: effects of porous medium and lake properties
TL;DR: In this paper, three-dimensional steady-state numerical models were used to investigate the relative significance of several factors controlling lake bed seepage patterns: lake depth, lake bed slope, orientation of an asymmetric lake with respect to a regional hydraulic gradient, lakebed sediments, and heterogeneity and anisotropy of the porous medium.

Recharge Through a Regional Till Aquitard: Three‐Dimensional Flow Model Water Balance Approach
TL;DR: In this article, a numerical ground water flow model was constructed for the Duffins and Petticoat Creek drainage hasin, which was calibrated to measurements of hydraulic head and estimates and measurements of base flow throughout the basin.

Summary of hydrogeology and simulation of ground-water flow and land-surface subsidence in the northern part of the Gulf Coast aquifer system, Texas
TL;DR: In this paper, a study done in cooperation with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and the Harris-Galveston Coastal Subsidence District (HGCSD) as a part of the TWDB Ground-Water Availability Modeling (or Model) (GAM) program is presented.

Regional groundwater flow in hard rocks.
TL;DR: Using a Geographic Information System, it could be demonstrated the spatial association of open basins to the Hercynian ductile and fragile tectonic structures and hence to classify the basins as discharge cells of a regional flow system.
