A new interpretation of Mössbauer spectra of microcrystalline goethite: “Super-ferromagnetism” or “super-spin-glass” behaviour?

TLDR
In this paper, the temperature dependence of the magnetic hyperfine field of microcrystalline goethite has been studied in detail and the results have been compared to the behaviour of well-crystallized Goethite.

Exchange bias in nanostructures

TL;DR: The phenomenology of exchange bias and related effects in nanostructures is reviewed in this paper, where the main applications of exchange biased nanostructure are summarized and the implications of the nanometer dimensions on some of the existing exchange bias theories are briefly discussed.

From Fe(III) Ions to Ferrihydrite and then to Hematite

TL;DR: It is maintained that no intermediate phases were positively identified between mono-, di-, and trimers and a range of solid polynuclear phases, which indicates fast polymerisation as the OH/Fe ratio of the system increases.

Synthesis of nickel nanoparticles. Influence of aggregation induced by modification of poly(vinylpyrrolidone) chain length on their magnetic properties

TL;DR: The reaction of Ni(COD)2 with H2 (3 bar) in CH2Cl2 in the presence of poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) K 30 leads to air-stable agglomerates of ≈30 nm, composed of individual 3−4 nm fcc Ni particles.

Solvable Model of a Spin-Glass

TL;DR: In this article, an Ising model in which the spins are coupled by infinite-ranged random interactions independently distributed with a Gaussian probability density is considered and the competition between the phases and the type of order present in each is studied.

Theory of spin glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, a new theory of spin glasses is proposed, which offers a simple explanation of the cusp found experimentally in the susceptibility, which is smoothed by an external field.

Solution of 'Solvable model of a spin glass'

TL;DR: In this paper, the Sherrmgton-Kirkpatrick model of a spin glass is solved by a mean field technique which is probably exact in the limit of infinite range interactions.

Infinite-ranged models of spin-glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, an infinite-ranged random model Hamiltonian is defined as a limiting case in which the appropriate form of mean-field theory, order parameters and phase diagram to describe spin-glasses may be established.

Some Properties of Supported Small α − Fe 2 O 3 Particles Determined with the Mössbauer Effect

TL;DR: In this paper, the Mossbauer spectra of a sample with an arbitrary number of particles was analyzed and the particle size distribution of the quadrupole splitting was determined as a function of particle size and temperature, and an independent value of the crystalline anisotropy constant in the $c$ plane was derived.
