A Sub-µg Bias-Instability MEMS Oscillating Accelerometer With an Ultra-Low-Noise Read-Out Circuit in CMOS

TL;DR: A new ultra-low-noise continuous-time bandpass transimpedance amplifier is proposed and serves as the front-end of the read-out circuit and achieves a state-of-the-art input referred current noise density of 6.6 fA/√Hz, which helps improve the bias-instability and noise floor of the MEMS oscillating accelerometer.

Varactor folding technique for phase noise reduction in electronic oscillators

TL;DR: In this paper, a varactor folding technique is used to reduce noise in controllable electronic oscillators through the use of a series of varactors having relatively small capacitance.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Review of feedback and feedforward noise reduction techniques

TL;DR: Noise reduction techniques based on both feedback and feedforward topologies are employed over the last few decades to improve phase and amplitude noise of devices and oscillators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase Noise and Noise Induced Frequency Shift in Stochastic Nonlinear Oscillators

TL;DR: In this paper, a phase model reduction technique for phase noise analysis of nonlinear oscillators subject to stochastic inputs was developed, and the phase deviation and the probability density function were obtained.

Short-term frequency stability: Characterization, theory, and measurement

TL;DR: In this article, an analysis is presented of the manner in which oscillator short-term instabilities limit performance in a number of applications, and the authors provide guidelines for theoretical formulations, the definition of "short-term stability" and the development of measurement techniques for characterizing short-time instabilities.
