Electronic Temperature Compensation of Lateral Bulk Acoustic Resonator Reference Oscillators Using Enhanced Series Tuning Technique

TL;DR: This paper reports on the demonstration of series tuning for lateral micromechanical oscillators and its application for electronic temperature compensation of piezoelectric lateral bulk acoustic resonator (LBAR) micromedical oscillators.
Journal ArticleDOI

A general method to simulate noise in oscillators based on frequency domain techniques

TL;DR: In this paper, an approach using perturbation theory to simulate the noise behavior of free-running microwave oscillators based on a piecewise harmonic balance technique is outlined and applied to a planar integrated microwave oscillator at 14 GHz.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

CMOS-only rf and baseband circuits for a monolithic 900 MHz wireless transceiver

TL;DR: Recently developed 1-/spl mu/m CMOS circuits for a 900 MHz spread-spectrum wireless transceiver show that by combining a MOS style of circuits design with flexibility in system architecture, it is possible to integrate the entire transceiver on a single-chip, and to obtain a level of performance previously only possible by combining advanced silicon bipolar technologies with specialized passive components.
Journal ArticleDOI

A 45-GHz Rotary-Wave Voltage-Controlled Oscillator

TL;DR: In this paper, a millimeter-wave rotary-wave oscillator (RWO) is presented that hybridizes standing-and traveling-wave behavior, and an analysis of the phase noise of this RWO is presented.

Short-term frequency stability: Characterization, theory, and measurement

TL;DR: In this article, an analysis is presented of the manner in which oscillator short-term instabilities limit performance in a number of applications, and the authors provide guidelines for theoretical formulations, the definition of "short-term stability" and the development of measurement techniques for characterizing short-time instabilities.
