TLDR
In this article, three perturbative QCD+fragmentation models were compared with the data, using parameters optimised at 35 GeV CM energy, and all the models described the trend of the evolution of the cluster rates between 〈 s 〉 = 14 and 43.8 GeV.

- 01 Sep 2004 -
TL;DR: In this article, QCD results obtained from a study of hadronic event structure in high energy e^+e^- interactions with the L3 detector are presented, and the main results concern the measurement of the strong coupling constant, \alpha_s, from hadronic events shapes and the study of effects of soft gluon coherence through charged particle multiplicity and momentum distributions.

Asymptotic Freedom in Parton Language

TL;DR: In this article, the main body of predictions of the theory for deep-inleastic scattering on either unpolarized or polarized targets is re-obtained by a method which only makes use of the simplest tree diagrams and is entirely phrased in parton language with no reference to the conventional operator formalism.

Parton fragmentation and string dynamics

TL;DR: In this paper, an iterative cascade-based model for string dynamics is described, which is based on a cascade-fly model using string dynamics, with tunneling in a constant force field.

A QCD model for jet fragmentation including soft gluon interference

TL;DR: In this paper, a new model for hadronic jet fragmentation in hard processes is presented based on a QCD parton branching mechanism with correct treatment of leading collinear and infra-red singularities (i.e. including soft gluon interference).

The perturbative calculation of jet structure in e + e - annihilation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors calculate the O(αs2) corrections to the event shape in e+e− annihilation due to the parton processes e + e − → q q G, e+ e− → q Q q q qq and e + ǫ − q q GG.
