Journal ArticleDOI

A review on the development of urease inhibitors as antimicrobial agents against pathogenic bacteria.

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of the most potent antiurease organic substances is presented, focusing on systematic screening studies on the inhibitory activity of rationally designed series of compounds with the corresponding SAR considerations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Discovery of novel arylethenesulfonyl fluorides as potential candidates against methicillin-resistant of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) for overcoming multidrug resistance of bacterial infections.

TL;DR: The analogs 8, 15, and 67 possess great potentiality for discovery and development of anti-staphylococcal drugs to treat the MRSA infections and exhibited outstanding anti-biofilm properties compared to other available synthetic antibiotics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrated and anhydrous cobalt (II) barbiturates: Crystal structures, spectroscopic and thermal properties

TL;DR: In this paper, three new complexes of barbituric acid (H 2 BA), a discrete molecular complex [Co(H 2 O) 4 (HBA) 2 ] (1), a barbiturate-bridged 1 D Co(II) coordination polymer [Co 2 O 2 O ) 2 (μ 2 -HBA), and a 3 D Co (2, 3, 4)-polymeric form 3 (Co 3 O ) coordination polymer were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray powder diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of a gemini quaternary ammonium salt and its reaction with wool fabric using click chemistry

TL;DR: In this article, tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine (TCEP) was utilized as a reducing agent to generate thiol groups on the surface of the wool fabric.
Journal ArticleDOI

New barbiturates and thiobarbiturates as potential enzyme inhibitors

TL;DR: A series of 27 new barbiturate and thiobarbiturates have been synthesized by a convenient multi-component reaction in overall excellent yields (87–96%) and out of the series, 23 in DPPH, 14 in lipoxygenase, 2 in chymotrypsin have shown appreciable IC50 values.
