Application of response surface methodology to evaluate the influence of temperature and initial pH on the production of β-1,3-glucanase and carboxymethylcellulase from Trichoderma harzianum

TLDR
A temperature of 30°C and an initial pH of 4.7 were found to be optimal for β-1,3-glucanase production from T. harzianum in both surface culture and submerged culture processes.

Application of Doehlert experimental design in the optimization of experimental variables for the Pseudozyma sp. (CCMB 306) and Pseudozyma sp. (CCMB 300) cell lysis Aplicação do modelo Doehlert na otimização das variáveis experimentais para a lise de Pseudozyma sp. (CCMB 306) e Pseudozyma sp. (CCMB 300)

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of pH and temperature on the lysis of yeast using experimental design was investigated and the best conditions for lysis were pH 4.9 at 37°C and pH 3.7°C, respectively.

Optimization of cold-active lipase production from psychrophilic bacterium Moritella sp. 2-5-10-1 by statistical experimental methods.

TL;DR: To the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of statistical optimization of cold-active lipase production by a psychrophilic bacterium and results clearly indicated that the model was adequate even on a large scale.

Solid State Fermentation of Soybean Hulls for Cellulolytic Enzymes Production

TL;DR: Brijwani et al. as discussed by the authors used the response surface method (RSM) to identify the explanatory variable in Solid State Fermentation (SSF) for cellulolytic enzymes.

Biological phosphate removal by model based fed-batch cultivation of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus

TL;DR: Batch cultivation of A. calcoaceticus was conducted under statistically optimized culture conditions in order to study the kinetics of growth and phosphate uptake, and an improvement to 94% phosphate removal efficiency was observed in fed-batch cultivation as opposed to 78% in 11 h for batch cultivation.

Antagonistic properties of species-groups of Trichoderma: III. Hyphal interaction

TL;DR: In this article, the importance of antibiotics and extracellular enzymes during hyphal interaction is discussed, and the hyphae of the majority of Trichoderma isolates coiled around hyphiae of different test fungi.

Measurement of saccharifying cellulase.

TL;DR: In this article, a filter paper assay method and unit value is described for the measurement of enzyme saccharification action, which is simple, reproducible, and quantitative and predicts enzyme action under practical conditions.

Degradation of plant pathogenic fungi by Trichoderma harzianum. Can J Microbiol

TL;DR: Isolates of T. harzianum were found to differ in the levels of hydrolytic enzymes produced when mycelium of S. rolfsii, Rhizoctonia solani, and Pythium aphanidermatum in soil was attacked, correlated with the ability of each of the Trichoderma isolates to control the respective soilborne pathogens.
