TLDR
In this paper, the Raman spectrum of nanophase TiO2 was used to determine the oxygen-titanium ratio, and the thermogravimetric analysis studies used to calculate the ratio were discussed.
Abstract
Calibration curves of the Raman spectrum of nanophase TiO2 to the material’s oxygen stoichiometry are presented. The thermogravimetric analysis studies used to determine the oxygen‐titanium ratio are also discussed.

Raman scattering study on anatase TiO2 nanocrystals

TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of the anatase phase in TiO2 nanocrystals during annealing was investigated using x-ray diffraction and the influence of interfacial vibrations on the Raman linewidth was also discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mesoporous Au/TiO2 nanocomposites with enhanced photocatalytic activity.

TL;DR: Mesoporous Au/TiO2 nanocomposites with Au nanoparticles homogeneously embedded within crystalline TiO2 framework were synthesized using a simple one-pot assembly approach and exhibit significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity.

Efficient TiO2 Photocatalysts from Surface Hybridization of TiO2 Particles with Graphite-like Carbon

TL;DR: In this paper, photoelectrochemical measurements confirm an electronic interaction between TiO2 and graphite-like carbon, and the mechanism of the enhanced photocatalytic activity under UV irradiation is based on the high migration efficiency of photoinduced electrons at the graphitelike carbon/TiO2 interface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Size effects in the Raman spectra of TiO2 nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the relationship between the particle size and the Raman bands of TiO 2 nanoparticles using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES), extended Xray absorption fine structure (EXAFS), and Raman spectroscopy.

The one phonon Raman spectrum in microcrystalline silicon

TL;DR: In this paper, a relaxation in the q-vector selection rule for the excitation of the Raman active optical phonons was proposed to increase the red shift and broadening of the signal from microcrystalline silicon films.

Electrical properties of titanium dioxide semiconductors

TL;DR: The electrical properties of rutile lattices have been studied for several years as mentioned in this paper, however, the previous studies were only of the electrical conductivity of ceramics so that little information about the properties of the rutiles lattice is available.

Synthesis, characterization, and properties of nanophase TiO 2

TL;DR: In this paper, nanophase compacts with average initial grain sizes of 12 nm were found to densify rapidly above 500 °C, with only a small increase in grain size.
Journal ArticleDOI

Raman microprobe study of nanophase TiO2 and oxidation-induced spectral changes

TL;DR: In this article, a microprobe study of as-compacted nanophase TiO{sub 2} was carried out to investigate the spatial inhomogeneity of its anatase and rutile phases.
