Combination of Advanced Oxidation Processes and biological treatments for wastewater decontamination—A review

TLDR
The main conclusions arrived at from the overall assessment of the literature are that more work needs to be done on degradation kinetics and reactor modeling of the combined process, and also dynamics of the initial attack on primary contaminants and intermediate species generation.

Formation of chlorinated by-products during photo-Fenton degradation of pyrimethanil under saline conditions. Influence on toxicity and biodegradability

TL;DR: It was demonstrated that photo-Fenton in a DW(NaCl) produces some chlorinated transformation products in addition to the non-chlorinated TPs identified during degradation in the DW, which does not increase the toxicity of the water, and TPs formed are more biodegradable than PYR.

Treatment of Palm Oil Mill Effluent Using Membrane Bioreactor: Novel Processes and Their Major Drawbacks

TL;DR: In this paper, a review article specifically focuses on the recent treatment processes of POME using MBR, with particular emphasis on innovative processes conditions such as aerobic, anaerobic, and hybrid processing as well as their performance in relation to membrane blockage.

Microwave synthesis of pure and doped cerium (IV) oxide (CeO2) nanoparticles for methylene blue degradation.

TL;DR: Compared to the same nanoparticles prepared by another method, it was found that Gd doped CeO2 prepared by hydrothermal process was able to mineralize MB dye completely under UV light irradiation.

A novel Fenton-like system of Fe2O3 and NaHSO3 for Orange II degradation

TL;DR: In this paper, a new Fenton-like catalysis system consisting of Fe2O3 and NaHSO3 was designed, tested and established as a catalyst for the degradation of Orange II dye.
