TLDR
The third edition of the second edition as discussed by the authors was published in 1964 and contains basic test data for eleven new surface configurations, including some of the very compact ceramic matrices, in both the English and the Systeme International (SI) system of units.
Abstract
This third edition is an update of the second edition published in 1964. New data and more modern theoretical solutions for flow in the simple geometries are included, although this edition does not differ radically from the second edition. It contains basic test data for eleven new surface configurations, including some of the very compact ceramic matrices. Al dimensions are given in both the English and the Systeme International (SI) system of units.

Numerical investigation of the air flow through a bundle of IP-SOFC modules

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used an explicit time-marching scheme that incorporates a preconditioning method to increase the rate of numerical convergence at low flow velocities.

Performance of tubular aluminum foam heat exchangers in multiple row bundles

TL;DR: In this paper, two sets of aluminum foam cylinders, 5 and 15mm thick, are tested in two-row and three-row bundles for their thermo-hydraulic performance.

Real-time modelling of transient operation of turbocharged diesel engines:

TL;DR: In this article, a brief overview of actual mathematical tools for simulation of the transient operation of diesel engines, several considerations are reported on the modelling criteria and approaches with reference to fast zero-dimensional mean value models of engines and powertrains.

Thermal-hydraulic performance of oval tubes in a cross-flow of air

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal-hydraulic performance of five oval tubes was experimentally investigated and compared with that for a circular tube in a cross-flow of air and the results showed that the mean Nusselt numbers NuD for the oval tubes are close to that for the circular tube for ReD < 4,000.

A Quick Overview of Compact Air-Cooled Heat Sinks Applicable for Electronic Cooling—Recent Progress

TL;DR: The IPFM (Interleaved Parallelogram Fin Module) as discussed by the authors design combines two different geometrical fins with the odd number fin being rectangular shape, and parallelogram shape in even fin numbers, shows 8% to 12% less surface than conventional design but still offers a lower thermal resistance than the conventional rectangular heat sink in lower flowrate operation.
