TLDR
The third edition of the second edition as discussed by the authors was published in 1964 and contains basic test data for eleven new surface configurations, including some of the very compact ceramic matrices, in both the English and the Systeme International (SI) system of units.
Abstract
This third edition is an update of the second edition published in 1964. New data and more modern theoretical solutions for flow in the simple geometries are included, although this edition does not differ radically from the second edition. It contains basic test data for eleven new surface configurations, including some of the very compact ceramic matrices. Al dimensions are given in both the English and the Systeme International (SI) system of units.

Thermoeconomic optimization of organic Rankine bottoming cycles for micro gas turbines

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the thermoeconomic design and optimization of a 100kWe micro gas turbine with an organic Rankine cycle and found that the saturation temperature at ambient pressure was an important variable when the minimum pressure was constrained above ambient and that a high degree of superheating was favored when the recuperated cycle was heated directly by the microturbine flue gases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Program development and simulation of dynamic operation of micro gas turbines

TL;DR: In this article, an in-house program that is capable of simulating the transient operations of micro gas turbines was developed, which is used for supplementing the development test, designing robust control logic, and diagnosing the engine performance.

Design of Regenerative Heat Exchangers

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model for the design of rotary regenerators is presented, which is valid for all kinds of channel geometries that form the matrix of a rotary generator and can be used for all rotational speeds.

Thermohydraulic characteristics of a multi-string direct-contact heat exchanger

TL;DR: In this article, a 1.6m-tall direct-contact heat exchanger with an array of 112 vertically aligned strings was constructed and the experimentally measured temperature profiles were examined to evaluate the impact of instability in liquid film flows.

3D-CFD SIMULATION AND NEURAL NETWORK MODEL FOR THE j AND f FACTORS OF THE WAVY FIN-AND-FLAT TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS

TL;DR: In this article, a neural network model was used to estimate the behaviors of the Colburn factor (j) and the Fanning friction factor (f) for wavy fin-and-flat tube (WFFT) heat exchangers.
