Apocalypse perhaps.

TL;DR: The world has been preparing for a pandemic for decades and reacted swiftly to the 2002–2003 outbreak of SARS and the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic, however, the COVID-19 pandemic has proved far more problematic than those two outbreaks, not the least being that polio too spreads silently from people who are infected but asymptomatic, a silent menace.

Low-threshold SARS-CoV-2 testing facility for hospital staff: Prevention of COVID-19 outbreaks?

Physical distancing, face masks, and eye protection for prevention of COVID-19.
