Iron-Intercalated Zirconium Diselenide Thin Films from the Low-Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition of [Fe(η5-C5H4Se)2Zr(η5-C5H5)2]2.

TLDR
The synthesis and characterization of Fe-intercalated ZrSe2 thin films on quartz substrates are demonstrated using the low-pressure chemical vapor deposition of the single-source precursor [Fe(η5-C5H4Se)2Zr(ε5- C5H5)2]2.
Abstract
Transition metal chalcogenide thin films of the type FexZrSe2 have applications in electronic devices, but their use is limited by current synthetic techniques Here, we demonstrate the synthesis a

Crystal and electronic structure of FeSe at high pressure and low temperature

TL;DR: The high-pressure crystal and electronic structures of superconducting FeSe are investigated by high-resolution synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction and density functional theory (DFT) calculations at ambient and at low temperatures down to 8 K and a pressure-induced distortion of the low-temperature Cmma phase is demonstrated.

Transition metal dichalcogenides as catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction: The emblematic case of “inert” ZrSe 2 as catalyst for electrolyzers

TL;DR: In this article , the authors show that even a poorly catalytic transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) can act as an efficient EC for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) when exfoliated in the form of two-dimensional (2D) few-layer flakes.

Biomolecule Assisted Hydrothermal Synthesis of Indium Intercalated 2D ZrSe2 Microflowers for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction to MeOH and CH4

TL;DR: Indium (In)-intercalated zirconium diselenide (InZrSe2) microflowers have optimized bandgap value i.e., 1.65eV and showed good photocatalytic CO2 conversion to methanol and methane through hydrogenation as mentioned in this paper.

The transition metal dichalcogenides discussion and interpretation of the observed optical, electrical and structural properties

J.A. Wilson, +1 more

TL;DR: The transition metal dichalcogenides are about 60 in number as discussed by the authors, and two-thirds of these assume layer structures and can be cleaved down to less than 1000 A and are then transparent in the region of direct band-to-band transitions.

Raman microspectroscopy of some iron oxides and oxyhydroxides

TL;DR: In this paper, the laser power dependence of the spectra of oxides and oxyhydroxides was investigated by using Raman microscopy, and it was shown that increasing laser power causes the characteristic bands of hematite to show up in the spectrum of most of the compounds studied.
