Isolation and Characterization of a myo-inositol-1-phosphate Synthase Gene from Yellow Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa) Expressed During Seed Development and Environmental Stress

TLDR
Experimental data suggest that PeMIPS1 transcription plays an important role in the establishment of developmental programmes and during the response of plants to environmental changes, suggesting that it is important for environmental stress response.

Citrus Functional Genomics and Molecular Modeling in Relation to Citrus sinensis (Sweet Orange) Infection with Xylella fastidiosa (Citrus Variegated Chlorosis).

TL;DR: For the first time, SNPs in the EST data sets of X. fastidiosa-infected Citrus sinensis are reported and their functional annotation revealed the involvement of eight C. sinensis candidate genes in CVC pathogenesis, suggesting a decrease in the catalytic efficiency of these enzymes during infection, thereby facilitating a favorable condition for infection by the pathogen.

Characterization of myo-inositol-1-phosphate synthase (MIPS) gene expression and phytic acid accumulation in oat (Avena sativa) during seed development

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the relationship between the expression of MIPS and the accumulation of phytic acid in developing oat seeds by using three consensus primers which were designed from highly conserved regions in the MIPS sequence from other plants.

Genome‐wide characterization of aquaporins in Spirodela polyrhiza and expression of aquaporin gene family under high‐temperature stress

TL;DR: In this paper , gene sequences, gene structure, phylogeny, conserved motif and promoter of the AQP genes in Spirodela polyrhiza were investigated to explore the mechanisms of osmoregulation underwater.

Lipid peroxidation and seed emergency in progenies of the yellow passion fruit plant 1

TL;DR: A remarkable genetic variability for vigor and emergency of the yellow passion fruit plantlets is pointed out, with occurrence of individuals with high and other ones with low capacity to maintaining the physiologic quality of their seeds after storage.

Sequence analysis of MIPS-1s gene isolated from the low-phytic-acid inbred line of maize Qi319 and characterization of its expression patterns.

TL;DR: It was found that the control line had a dramatically higher abundance of MIPS-1s protein than did Qi319, in the developing seeds and especially during the early period, which strongly indicates that higher levels ofMIPS expression should precede and/or accompany synthesis and accumulation of phytate.

Clustal w: improving the sensitivity of progressive multiple sequence alignment through sequence weighting, position-specific gap penalties and weight matrix choice

TL;DR: The sensitivity of the commonly used progressive multiple sequence alignment method has been greatly improved and modifications are incorporated into a new program, CLUSTAL W, which is freely available.

Predicting subcellular localization of proteins based on their N-terminal amino acid sequence.

TL;DR: A neural network-based tool, TargetP, for large-scale subcellular location prediction of newly identified proteins has been developed and it is estimated that 10% of all plant proteins are mitochondrial and 14% chloroplastic, and that the abundance of secretory proteins, in both Arabidopsis and Homo, is around 10%.
