Multiresponse analysis of microbiological parameters affecting the production of pectolytic enzymes by Aspergillus niger: a statistical view

TLDR
In order to develop a two-stage inoculum possessing the best conditions for the maximum production of all three enzymes, a multiresponse analysis was carried out using a generalized distance approach.

Pectinolytic enzymes of Aspergillus sojae ATCC 20235: The impact of bioprocessing strategy on solid-state production and downstream processing of polygalacturonase

Doreen Heerd
TL;DR: The present study revealed the potential of Aspergillus sojae ATCC 20235 for pectinase production in solid-state fermentation (SSF) and characterized enzyme extracts were tested in several application studies related to fruit juice production and winemaking, which indicated improved process performances by enzyme treatment.

TL;DR: In this article, the Plackett-Burman statistical design was initially applied for screening the most important nutritional variables (three carbon sources and eight nitrogen sources) affecting yeast biomass production, and four nutritional sources and two physicochemical variables were subsequently evaluated using a factorial fractionated design as the starting point for optimising the process by applying a central composite rotational design.

Simultaneous Optimization of Activity and Stability of Xylose Reductase from D. nepalensis NCYC 3413 Using Statistical Experimental Design.

TL;DR: Simultaneous optimization of xylose reductase activity and stability using statistical methods is effective as compared to optimisation of the parameters separately.

On the Experimental Attainment of Optimum Conditions

TL;DR: The work described in this article is the result of a study extending over the past few years by a chemist and a statistician, which has come about mainly in answer to problems of determining optimum conditions in chemical investigations, but they believe that the methods will be of value in other fields where experimentation is sequential and the error fairly small.

Response surfaces : designs and analyses

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a methodology for estimating response surfaces that rival least squares based on the integrated mean squared error criterion analysis of multiresponse experiments with block effects mixture designs and analyses nonlinear response surface models.

Multi-Factor Experimental Designs for Exploring Response Surfaces

TL;DR: In this paper, the concept of the variance function for an experimental design is introduced, and the problem of selecting practically useful designs is discussed, and in this connection, the notion of variance function is introduced.
