Multiresponse analysis of microbiological parameters affecting the production of pectolytic enzymes by Aspergillus niger: a statistical view

TLDR
In order to develop a two-stage inoculum possessing the best conditions for the maximum production of all three enzymes, a multiresponse analysis was carried out using a generalized distance approach.

Relationship between morphology, rheology and polygalacturonase production by Aspergillus sojae ATCC 20235 in submerged cultures

TL;DR: Considering the morphology of the final culture, Aspergillus sojae with the desired pellet morphology in a complex media, inoculated with a seed culture prepared from molasses resulted in maximum polygalacturonase enzyme activity and lowest suspension viscosity with a broth rheology close to Newtonian flow behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of various process parameters on morphology, rheology, and polygalacturonase production by Aspergillus sojae in a batch bioreactor.

TL;DR: This study introduced a new strain of Aspergillus sojae with a potential of producing a highly commercially significant enzyme and provided certain parameters significant in the design and mathematical modeling of fungal bioprocesses.

Experimental design and response surface modeling applied for the optimisation of pectin hydrolysis by enzymes from A. niger CECT 2088

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of enzyme concentration (0.018-0.072%, w/v), substrate concentration ( 0.004 −0.896%), pH (4.49-5.91), temperature (32.2-67.8°C) and reaction time (18.2 −71.8min) on the enzymatic process was studied.

Bioconversion of wheat bran for polygalacturonase production by Aspergillus sojae in tray type solid-state fermentation

TL;DR: In this paper, wheat bran was used as the solid substrate for the tray-type solid-state fermentation (SSF) production of polygalacturonase (PG) enzyme by A. sojae mutant strain.

Optimization of the process parameters for the utilization of orange peel to produce polygalacturonase by solid-state fermentation from an Aspergillus sojae mutant strain

TL;DR: Accuracy and reliability of the constructed models on the responses was validated and the maximum calculated error rate between the predicted and actual activities at 14.1% and 22.4%, respectively were validated.

On the Experimental Attainment of Optimum Conditions

TL;DR: The work described in this article is the result of a study extending over the past few years by a chemist and a statistician, which has come about mainly in answer to problems of determining optimum conditions in chemical investigations, but they believe that the methods will be of value in other fields where experimentation is sequential and the error fairly small.

Multi-Factor Experimental Designs for Exploring Response Surfaces

TL;DR: In this paper, the concept of the variance function for an experimental design is introduced, and the problem of selecting practically useful designs is discussed, and in this connection, the notion of variance function is introduced.
