Niobate Nanosheets as Catalysts for Photochemical Water Splitting into Hydrogen and Hydrogen Peroxide

TL;DR: In this article, the peroxide was identified via Raman and IR spectroscopy, which indicated that the side-on ligand coordinated to the Nb5+ ions on the nanosheet surface was present.

Preparation of Monodisperse Au/TiO2 Nanocatalysts via Self-Assembly

TL;DR: In this article, presynthesized metallic nanoparticles (such as gold nanoparticles), rather than on-site growing ones that are prepared under thermally or photochemically activated conditions, can be "impregnated" uniformly onto premade oxide supports with organic interconnects which have bifunctional groups.

Effect of key operating parameters on phenols degradation during H2O2-assisted TiO2 photocatalytic treatment of simulated and actual olive mill wastewaters

TL;DR: In this article, the treatment of a synthetic solution containing 13 organic compounds typically found in olive mill wastewaters (OMW) by means of H2O2-promoted TiO2 photocatalysis was investigated concerning the effect of major operating factors, namely catalyst type and loading, H 2O2 dosage and method of addition, irradiation intensity, solution pH and initial substrate concentration on process efficiency.

Brookite vs Anatase TiO2 in the Photocatalytic Activity for Organic Degradation in Water

TL;DR: In this paper, phasepure brookite and anatase were homemade at different temperatures (Ts = 200-500 °C), as confirmed by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy.

Visible-Light Photocatalysis in Nitrogen-Doped Titanium Oxides

TL;DR: Film and powders of TiO2-x Nx have revealed an improvement over titanium dioxide (TiO2) under visible light in optical absorption and photocatalytic activity such as photodegradations of methylene blue and gaseous acetaldehyde and hydrophilicity of the film surface.
