Journal ArticleDOI

XPS and μ-Raman study of nanosecond-laser processing of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS)

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical status of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) after nanosecond Q-switched Nd:YAG laser treatment with near infrared, visible and ultraviolet radiation is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

High resolution X-ray photoemission study of nitrogen doped TiO2 rutile single crystals

TL;DR: In this article, the electronic structure of nitrogen doped TiO2 prepared by annealing single crystal rutile (1 1 0) substrates in NH3 at elevated temperatures was investigated using high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

A phenyl-sulfonic acid anchored carbon-supported platinum catalyst for polymer electrolyte fuel cell electrodes

TL;DR: In this paper, a method to anchor phenyl-sulfonic acid functional groups with the platinum catalyst supported onto a high surface-area carbon substrate is reported, where the improvement in performance of the PEFC is facilitated not only by enlarging the three phase boundary in the catalyst layer but also by providing ionic-conduction paths as well as by imparting negative charge to platinum sites with concomitant oxidation of sulfur present in the carbon support.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and compositional study of B-C-N films produced by laser ablation of B4C targets in N2 atmosphere

TL;DR: In this paper, a structural and compositional characterization of B-C-N thin films deposited by laser reactive ablation of a B4C target, in low-pressure (5 Pa) nitrogen atmosphere, is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical structure of films grown by AlN laser ablation: an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study

TL;DR: In this paper, the compositional and chemical properties of films deposited on silicon by quadrupoled Nd:YAG pulsed laser ablation of a ceramic AlN target were investigated.
