Journal ArticleDOI

SnO2 substrate effects on the morphology and composition of chemical bath deposited ZnSe thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, ZnSe thin films are deposited by the chemical bath deposition (CBD) method onto different glass and glass and SnO2 coated glass substrates with different grain sizes, roughness, conductivity and optical transmission.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coprecipitated NiAl and NiCuAl catalysts for methane decomposition and carbon deposition I. Genesis of Calcined and reduced catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of coprecipitated Ni-Al and Ni-Cu particles with high nickel content (60 − 90 wt.-% Ni-alumina) has been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, extended X -ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopic of calcined and reduced samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

CVD Cu2O and CuO Nanosystems Characterized by XPS

TL;DR: In this article, X-ray photoelectron and Xray excited Auger electron spectroscopy analyses of the principal core levels (O 1s, Cu 2p, and Cu LMM) of Cu2O and CuO nanosystems are proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improved corrosion resistance of mild steel in acidic solution by hydrazone derivatives: An experimental and computational study

TL;DR: In this article, a combined experimental and theoretical study of the adsorption of three newly synthesized hydrazones (HDZs), namely, (E)-N′-(4-(dimethylamino)benzylidene)-2-((2,3-dimethylphenyl)amino) benzohydrazide (HDHZ-1), (E]-2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of surface treatment on unalloyed titanium implants: Spectroscopic analyses

TL;DR: Carbon, oxygen, phosphorus, and nitrogen presence were found to correlate with previously determined surface energy, suggesting that passivation alters the oxide characteristics either directly by altering the oxide structure or indirectly by removing moieties that alter the oxide.
