Journal ArticleDOI

XPS and AFM investigations of annealing induced surface modifications of MgO single crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of annealing on surface composition and morphology of [1 − 0 − 0]-oriented MgO single crystals was studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

3D structured porous CoP3 nanoneedle arrays as an efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst for the evolution reaction of hydrogen and oxygen

TL;DR: In this paper, self-supported porous porous cobalt polyphosphide nanoneedle arrays on carbon fiber paper (CoP3 NAs/CFP) are fabricated via topotactic phosphidation of the Co(OH)F/cFP precursor, as a 3D structured electrocatalyst with a large specific surface area and high porosity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Mg and Mn oxide additions on structural and adsorptive properties of Cu/ZnO/ZrO2 catalysts for the methanol synthesis from CO2

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the Mg and Mn promoters on the activity of the Cu/ZnO/ZrO2 catalysts in the reaction of the synthesis of methanol from CO2 and H2, and the steam reforming of methenol, as well as on the catalysts' adsorptive properties with respect to reactants (CO, CO2, H2O, methanols) was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterisation of crystalline C-S-H phases by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, a number of crystalline calcium-silicate-hydrate (C-S-H) phases were analyzed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Composition and behaviour of cerium films on galvanised steel

TL;DR: In this paper, the composition and corrosion performance of galvanized steel treated by immersion in cerium nitrate solution was investigated by electrochemical techniques and surface analysis, showing that the presence of this film on the surface hinders the corrosion reaction by reducing the rate of both the cathodic and the anodic reactions.
