Priming memory invokes seed stress-tolerance
Keting Chen,Rajeev Arora +1 more
TLDR
A hypothetical model illustrating the cellular physiology of priming-induced stress-tolerance is proposed, likely achieved via two strategies: first, seed priming sets in motion germination-related activities that facilitate the transition of quiescent dry seeds into germinating state and lead to improved germination potential, and secondly, priming imposes abiotic stress on seeds that represses radicle protrusion but stimulates stress responses.About:

New insights into the mechanism underlying Ricinus communis L. tolerance to drought stress during germination
Paulo de Carvalho Teixeira Vasconcelos,Marta Bruno Loureiro,Águeda Maria Magalhães Fraga Lima,Paulo R. Ribeiro,Daniele Takahashi Bernal,Maria Lucia Vieira Moreno,Luzimar Gonzaga Fernandez,Renato Delmondez de Castro +7 more
TL;DR: Investigating the effect of osmoconditioning on Ricinus communis L. communis seeds provides important insights into the mechanism underlying plant adaptation to harsh environmental conditions, which would be very helpful to develop germination and seedling production protocols to obtain faster and more vigorous and uniform germination seedling stand.

Hydroelectrostatic hybrid priming stimulates germination performance via ABA and GA regulation: New promising evidence for tomato gene expression
TL;DR: The results showed an enhancement of the germination indices and vigor responses of primed seeds compared to primed and unprimed seeds without a storage period, and hydroelectrostatic hybrid priming is a promising and ecofriendly protocol for seed companies and farmers to meet the high demand for tomatoes.
