Application of isotherm, kinetic and thermodynamic models for the adsorption of nitrate ions on graphene from aqueous solution

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic study of the adsorption process was performed by varying pH, ionic strength, and temperature, and the experimental results showed that graphene is an excellent nitrate (NO 3 − ) adsorbent with a capacity of up to 89.97% at an initial NO 3 − concentration of 500 mg/L and temperature of 303 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

A comparative study of linear and non-linear regression analysis for ammonium exchange by clinoptilolite zeolite

TL;DR: Ammonium ion exchange from aqueous solution using clinoptilolite zeolite was investigated at laboratory scale and non-linear regression methods were compared to determine the best fitting of isotherm and kinetic model to experimental data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of a novel graphene oxide/Fe-Mn composite and its application for aqueous Hg(II) removal.

TL;DR: GO/Fe-Mn greatly reduced the bioavailability of mercury to wheat and rice, even promoted the seedling growth, and suggests that GO/Fe/Mn can be used as an effective and environmental-friendly adsorbent in heavy metal remediation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sorption of Cd(II) and Se(IV) from aqueous solution using modified rice husk.

TL;DR: Physicochemical tests showed an increase in sorbent acidity, cation exchange capacity and surface functionality after the reaction with acidified Se(IV) indicating that oxidation processes took place on the sorbent surface, and no changes in physicochemical tests were found after Cd(II) sorption indicating the absence of redox processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bioinspired 2D-Carbon Flakes and Fe3O4 Nanoparticles Composite for Arsenite Removal

TL;DR: This study indicated that Fe3O4@2D-CF composites can be used for practical applications as a global economic material for future generations.

Kinetics of Soil Chemical Processes

TL;DR: The application of chemical kinetics to soil systems is discussed in this paper, where the authors present a model of Inorganic and Organic Reactions in Soils, as well as the mechanisms of Rapid Reactions on Soil Constituents using Relaxation Methods.
