Reduced perfusion in systemic sclerosis digital ulcers (both fingertip and extensor) can be increased by topical application of glyceryl trinitrate

TLDR
DUs were responsive to topical GTN, with an increase in perfusion to the ischaemic DU centre, which has important treatment implications if both fingertip and extensor DUs have a (potentially reversible) ischaemia aetiology.

Exploring the patient experience of digital ulcers in systemic sclerosis

TL;DR: How a detailed understanding of the severity and burden of digital ulceration, aetiopathogenesis, and their impact on emotional health, function, work and social participation might inform the development of novel clinical trial outcomes that can support future advances in the assessment and management of digital Ulceration in systemic sclerosis is considered.
