TLDR
Among the possible subcarrier mapping approaches, it is found that localizedFDMA (LFDMA) with channel-dependent scheduling (CDS) results in higher throughput than interleaved FDMA (JFDMA), however, the PARR performance of IFDMA is better than that of LFDMA.

An Efficient Transceiver Scheme for SC-FDMA Systems Based on Discrete Wavelet Transform and Discrete Cosine Transform

TL;DR: A new transceiver architecture design for the uplink SC-FDMA system that implements a cosine basis function or a complex exponential Fourier basis function and the proposed architecture uses the discrete wavelet transform and a hybrid companding and clipping method for peak-to-average power ratio reduction.

Spectrum Sensing of Interleaved SC-FDMA Signals in Cognitive Radio Networks

TL;DR: Through comparative performance evaluation, this paper demonstrates the superiority of the proposed detection scheme over energy detection and the detection method based on autocorrelation of the cyclic prefix (CP).

High-Order Moments and Gaussianity of Single-Carrier and OFDM Signals

TL;DR: It is shown how the moments of OFDM signals can approach to those of Gaussian distribution as the number of subcarriers increases for a given modulation constraint on each subcarrier.

Equalization and Carrier Frequency Offsets Compensation for the SC-FDMA System

TL;DR: It is clear that CFOs disrupt the orthogonality between the subcarriers in SC-FDMA systems and degrade the Bit Error Rate performance, but the proposed compensation schemes are able to enhance the system performance, even in the presence of the estimation errors.

PAPR reduction in SC-IFDMA uplink system using parametric pulses

TL;DR: In this article, the authors implemented parametric pulses for pulse shaping in order to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in the interleaved mode of the single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-IFDMA) scheme.

Frequency domain equalization for single-carrier broadband wireless systems

TL;DR: This article surveys frequency domain equalization (FDE) applied to single-carrier (SC) modulation solutions and discusses similarities and differences of SC and OFDM systems and coexistence possibilities, and presents examples of SC-FDE performance capabilities.

Transmission techniques for digital terrestrial TV broadcasting

TL;DR: The authors discuss the potential of OFDM signaling, with its limitations and inherent problems, as well as another potential technique that has so far been overlooked: single-carrier transmission with frequency- domain equalization, and introduces coded-OFDM (COFDM), which makes use of channel coding and frequency-domain interleaving.

Fair multiuser channel allocation for OFDMA networks using Nash bargaining solutions and coalitions

TL;DR: The proposed algorithms not only provide fair resource allocation among users, but also have a comparable overall system rate with the scheme maximizing the total rate without considering fairness, and have much higher rates than that of the scheme with max-min fairness.

Technical solutions for the 3G long-term evolution

TL;DR: Promising technologies to fulfil 3G evolution targets are presented, including OFDM, multi-antenna solutions, evolved QoS and link layer concepts, and an evolved architecture, indicating that the requirements can indeed be reached using the proposed technologies.
