TLDR
Among the possible subcarrier mapping approaches, it is found that localizedFDMA (LFDMA) with channel-dependent scheduling (CDS) results in higher throughput than interleaved FDMA (JFDMA), however, the PARR performance of IFDMA is better than that of LFDMA.

Quasi-Cyclic Symbol Extensions for Shaping the OFDM Spectrum

TL;DR: A new class of quasi-cyclic symbol extensions is proposed, which makes the OFDM system more continuous, which leads to low OOB emission while the additive interference is less than other $N$ -continuous OFDM systems.

HARQ throughput enhancement using maximum likelihood block detection with recursive QR packet combining and M-algorithm for single-carrier MIMO

TL;DR: This paper considers a single-carrier MIMO and proposes a maximum likelihood block detection using recursive QR packet combing and M-algorithm called recursive QRM-MLBD, and shows it provides a better throughput performance than the conventional bit-level log likelihood ratio (LLR) packet combining.

A multi-user linear equalizer for uplink broadband millimeter wave massive MIMO

TL;DR: The simulation results show that the performance gap between the proposed hybrid broadband multiuser equalizer and full digital equalizer decreases monotonically and exponentially with the number of RF chains until reaching zero, and the gap decay rate is faster for sparser mmWave channels, where fewer RF chains are required to achieve the same performance of the full digital architecture.

Interference Modelling and Analysis of OFDM in Wireless Environments

Salim Namik
TL;DR: This thesis presents an analysis into the error rate performance of OFDM-based wireless networks in the presence of multiple interferers as well as a performance comparison with DS-SS wireless systems under identical environmental conditions.

QoS Performance Evaluation of Video Conferencing over LTE

TL;DR: This master’s thesis is to analyze the quality of service (QoS) performance and its effects when video is streamed over a GBR (Guaranteed bit rate) and non-GBR bearers over LTE.

Frequency domain equalization for single-carrier broadband wireless systems

TL;DR: This article surveys frequency domain equalization (FDE) applied to single-carrier (SC) modulation solutions and discusses similarities and differences of SC and OFDM systems and coexistence possibilities, and presents examples of SC-FDE performance capabilities.

Transmission techniques for digital terrestrial TV broadcasting

TL;DR: The authors discuss the potential of OFDM signaling, with its limitations and inherent problems, as well as another potential technique that has so far been overlooked: single-carrier transmission with frequency- domain equalization, and introduces coded-OFDM (COFDM), which makes use of channel coding and frequency-domain interleaving.

Fair multiuser channel allocation for OFDMA networks using Nash bargaining solutions and coalitions

TL;DR: The proposed algorithms not only provide fair resource allocation among users, but also have a comparable overall system rate with the scheme maximizing the total rate without considering fairness, and have much higher rates than that of the scheme with max-min fairness.

Technical solutions for the 3G long-term evolution

TL;DR: Promising technologies to fulfil 3G evolution targets are presented, including OFDM, multi-antenna solutions, evolved QoS and link layer concepts, and an evolved architecture, indicating that the requirements can indeed be reached using the proposed technologies.
