Stability of a Schwarzschild Singularity
TLDR
In this article, it was shown that a Schwarzschild singularity, spherically symmetrical and endowed with mass, will undergo small vibrations about the spherical form and therefore remain stable if subjected to a small nonspherical perturbation.Abstract:

Regular second order perturbations of binary black holes: The extreme mass ratio regime
Carlos O. Lousto,Hiroyuki Nakano +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the second order waveforms satisfy a wave equation with an effective source build up from products of the first order perturbations and its derivatives, and the effective source does not contain squares of the Dirac's delta.

Evolution equations for the perturbations of slowly rotating relativistic stars
TL;DR: In this article, a new derivation of the equations governing the oscillations of slowly rotating relativistic stars is presented, which can be cast into a set of hyperbolic first order equations which are then used for numerical integration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intermediate behavior of Kerr tails
TL;DR: In this article, the decay rate of scalar fields in the asymptotic domain of Kerr spacetime has been investigated using hyperboloidal coordinates, and it has been shown that the late-time decay rates depend on whether the observers are in the strong field domain or far away from the rotating black hole.

Anomalous decay rate of quasinormal modes in Schwarzschild-dS and Schwarzschild-AdS black holes
TL;DR: In this paper, an anomalous decay rate of the quasinormal modes of a massive scalar field in Schwarzschild black holes backgrounds was reported in which the longest-lived modes are the ones with higher angular number.

Gravitational-wave signature of a thin-shell gravastar
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the spectrum of axial and polar quasinormal modes of thin-shell gravastars and showed that the spectrum is completely different from that of a Schwarzschild black hole, even in the limit when the surface redshift becomes infinite.
