Stability of a Schwarzschild Singularity
TLDR
In this article, it was shown that a Schwarzschild singularity, spherically symmetrical and endowed with mass, will undergo small vibrations about the spherical form and therefore remain stable if subjected to a small nonspherical perturbation.Abstract:

Stability analysis and area spectrum of three-dimensional Lifshitz black holes
TL;DR: In this paper, the stability of a 3D Lifshitz black hole model with scalar and spinor perturbations was investigated using a scalar probe field and an analytical expression for the quasinormal frequencies of the scalar field.

Numerical relativity for D dimensional space-times: Head-on collisions of black holes and gravitational wave extraction
Helvi Witek,Miguel Zilhão,Leonardo Gualtieri,Vitor Cardoso,Vitor Cardoso,Carlos A. R. Herdeiro,Andrea Nerozzi,Ulrich Sperhake,Ulrich Sperhake,Ulrich Sperhake +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Kodama-Ishibashi formalism and numerical code to study the head-on collision of two black holes and showed that the total radiated energy, when two black-holes collide from rest at infinity, is approximately (0.089 ± 0.006)% of the center of mass energy, slightly larger than the 0.055% obtained in the four-dimensional case.

Multipole expansion of continuum dislocations dynamics in terms of alignment tensors
TL;DR: In this article, a hierarchy of evolution equations of these tensors is derived from a higher dimensional dislocation density theory, and low-order closure approximations of this hierarchy lead to continuum dislocation dy...

Hamiltonian unboundedness vs stability with an application to Horndeski theory
TL;DR: In this paper, the relative orientation of the causal cones for all propagating degrees of freedom is analyzed, and it is shown that stability is a coordinate-independent property, whereas the Hamiltonian density does depend on the choice of coordinates.

Boundary Conditions for Kerr-AdS Perturbations
Óscar J. C. Dias,Jorge E. Santos +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a set of boundary conditions on the Teukolsky master equation and its associated spin-weighted spheroidal harmonic decomposition simplify considerably the study of linear gravitational perturbations of the Kerr-AdS black hole.
