Superior cycle stability of nitrogen-doped graphene nanosheets as anodes for lithium ion batteries

TLDR
In this paper, the specific capacity of nitrogen-doped graphene nanosheet (N-GNS) evidently increases with charge/discharge cycles, exhibiting superior electrochemical performance, accounting for higher cycling stability and larger specific capacity in comparison to a pristine graphene and a commercialized graphite anode.

Controllable Synthesis of Copper Oxide/Carbon Core/Shell Nanowire Arrays and Their Application for Electrochemical Energy Storage.

TL;DR: Self-supported CuO/C core/shell nanowire arrays prepared by the combination of electro-deposition and chemical vapor deposition methods play positive roles in the enhancement of Li ion storage due to fast ion/electron transfer path, good strain accommodation and sufficient contact between electrolyte and active materials.
