Superior cycle stability of nitrogen-doped graphene nanosheets as anodes for lithium ion batteries

TLDR
In this paper, the specific capacity of nitrogen-doped graphene nanosheet (N-GNS) evidently increases with charge/discharge cycles, exhibiting superior electrochemical performance, accounting for higher cycling stability and larger specific capacity in comparison to a pristine graphene and a commercialized graphite anode.

Nitrogen-rich graphene from small molecules as high performance anode material

TL;DR: The superior lithium-storage performance is ascribed to the unique features of NRGS, including a large quantity of defects due to the high nitrogen doping level, favorable lithium ion transportation channels by virtue of the large surface area, and ultrahigh pore volume, as well as the crumpled two-dimensional structure.

Tailoring storage capacity and ion kinetics in Ti2CO2/graphene heterostructures by functionalization of graphene

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate that heterostructures made of an $M\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}X$ene and functionalized graphene are promising candidates to control and manipulate the generation and diffusion of Li${}^{+}$ at the interface of the dissimilar materials.
