TLDR
In this article, an improved synthesis of the title compounds was reported, and the N,N'-dialkylthioureas 1 with 3-hydroxy-2-butanone gave the imidazole-2(3H)-thiones 2 which on treatment with potassium in boiling tetrahydrofuran give the IMidazol-2ylidenes 3 in excellent yieldsAbstract:

Synthesis of a Dichlorosilaimine Coordinated by an N‐Heterocyclic Carbene from ArN(SiMe3)SiHCl2
TL;DR: In this article, the first donor-stabilized dichlorosilaimine from substituted chlorosilane in the presence of an NHC via dehydrosilylation was presented.

Structure and Bonding of 1,2,4-Triazole Thiones Derived from Nitron
TL;DR: The molecular structures of two 1,2,4-triazole thiones derived from Nitron have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction as mentioned in this paper, and they are best described by a combination of resonance structures that feature C S double and C S single bonds.

Metathesis of P=C Bonds Catalyzed by N-Heterocyclic Carbenes.
Zeyu Han,Derek P. Gates +1 more
TL;DR: This work has discovered a high-yielding P=C bond metathesis of phosphaalkenes that is catalyzed by N-heterocyclic carbenes that is established as a rare application of non-metal-based catalysts for transformations involving main-group elements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electron‐Deficient Imidazolium Substituted Cp Ligands and their Ru Complexes
TL;DR: Cyclic voltammetric analysis of the ruthenocenes shows reversible oxidation at a potential that increases with every additional electron‐withdrawing imidazolium substituent at the Cp ligand by 0.55 V in an electrolyte based on a weakly coordinating anion.
