TLDR
The fourth international LTE opacity workshop and code comparison study, WorkOp-IV, was held in Madrid in 1997 as mentioned in this paper, with a focus on iron opacities, and the astrophysically important photon absorption region between 50 and 80 eV was emphasized for a sequence of iron plasmas at densities and temperatures that produce nearly the same average ionization stage (Z ∗ ∼8.6).
Abstract
The fourth international LTE opacity workshop and code comparison study, WorkOp-IV, was held in Madrid in 1997. Results of this workshop are summarized with a focus on iron opacities. In particular, the astrophysically important photon absorption region between 50 and 80 eV is emphasized for a sequence of iron plasmas at densities and temperatures that produce nearly the same average ionization stage (Z ∗ ∼8.6) . Experimental data that addressed this spectral region is also reviewed.

Determination and Analysis of the Thermodynamic Regimes of Xenon Plasmas

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors characterized the thermodynamic regimes of xenon plasmas as a function of the matter density and temperature, and performed an analysis of the differences of NLTE and LTE simulations on several relevant plasma parameters.

Comparison of Iron Plasma Atomic and Radiative Properties Computed with a Relativistic Collisional Radiative Average Atom Code versus Other Models

TL;DR: A representative sample of steady state iron plasmas is presented and the good agreement of atomic and radiative properties not only with respect to very recent experimental measurements of laboratories and High Energy Density facilities, but also to the last theoretical developments in quantum mechanics of statistical methods.

Effects of mode coupling between low-mode radiation flux asymmetry and intermediate-mode ablator roughness on ignition capsule implosions

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of the mode coupling between low-mode P2 radiation flux asymmetry and intermediate-mode L = 24 capsule roughness on the implosion performance of ignition capsule were investigated by two-dimensional radiation hydrodynamic simulations.

Laser ablation under different electron heat conduction models in inertial confinement fusion

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the influence of three different electron heat conduction models on the laser ablation of gold plane target, focusing on the plasma conditions, the conversion efficiency from laser into soft x rays and the scaling relation of mass ablation, which are relevant to hohlraum physics study in indirect drive inertial confinement fusion.
