Journal ArticleDOI

Association Between Proton Pump Inhibitor Use and Cognitive Function in Women

TL;DR: The data do not support the suggestion that PPI use increases dementia risk, and associations for H2 receptor antagonists (H2RAs) are examined as a secondary aim.
Journal ArticleDOI

Four Susceptibility Loci for Gallstone Disease Identified in a Meta-analysis of Genome-Wide Association Studies

Amit Joshi, +63 more
- 01 Aug 2016 -
TL;DR: A large-scale, meta-analysis of GWASs of individuals of European ancestry with available prior genotype data identified 4 loci in genes that have putative functions in cholesterol metabolism and transport, and sulfonylation of bile acids or hydroxysteroids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fully adaptive FEM based fluorescence optical tomography from time-dependent measurements with area illumination and detection

TL;DR: An area-illumination and area-detection scheme is used to acquire fluorescence frequency domain measurements from a tissue phantom with an embedded fluorescent target and obtain tomographic reconstructions of the interior fluorescence absorption map with an adaptive finite element based scheme.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meat intake, cooking methods, dietary carcinogens, and colorectal cancer risk: findings from the Colorectal Cancer Family Registry.

TL;DR: The results support the role of specific meat types and cooking practices as possible sources of human carcinogens relevant for CRC risk, and find no evidence of an association between total nonprocessed red meat or total processed meat and CRC risk.
