Real-time characterization and source apportionment of fine particulate matter in the Delhi megacity area during late winter

TL;DR: In this article, a real-time chemical characterization of fine particulate matter (PM1 and PM2.5) was carried out using three aerosol mass spectrometers, two aethalometers, and one single particle soot photometer (SP2) at two sites in Delhi (urban) and one site located ~40 km downwind of Delhi, during January-March 2018.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of south Foehn on the ozone distribution in the Alpine Rhine valley: results from the MAP field phase

TL;DR: In this paper, the Mesoscale Alpine Programme (MAP) special observation period (SOP) between 7 September and 15 November 1999, ground-based and airborne measurements have been conducted in the Rhine valley south of the Lake of Constance to investigate the unstationary aspects of Foehn and related phenomena.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Aerosol Water Content on the formation of secondary inorganic aerosol during a Winter Heavy PM2.5 Pollution Episode in Xi'an, China

TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted semi-continuous measurements of water-soluble inorganic ions during a winter extreme pollution event (from January 9th to January 17th, 2015, average PM2.5 concentrations of ~250μgm−m−3 and peak concentrations of roughly 700μg m−3) in Xi'an to elucidate on the SIA formation mechanism.
