Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of Circulating Tumour Cells and Survival of Patients with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

TL;DR: The results of this study suggest that the presence of CTCs analyzed by ScreenCell did not necessarily lead to a poorer prognosis in patients with lung cancer after curative surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Test performance of PET-CT for mediastinal lymph node staging of pulmonary carcinoid tumours

TL;DR: It is indicated that PET-CT has a poor sensitivity but good specificity to detect the presence of mediastinal lymph node metastases in pulmonary carcinoid tumours, and if the absence of mediastsinal lymph nodes disease is a prerequisite for directing management, tissue sampling should be undertaken.
Journal ArticleDOI

The value of 'mesothelium-associated' antibodies in distinguishing between metastatic renal cell carcinomas and mesotheliomas.

TL;DR: Calretinin, CK5/6 and BerEP 4 appear the most useful antibodies in helping to distinguish between renal cell carcinomas and mesotheliomas, although BerEP4 was not particularly sensitive for renal cell cancer.
