CIS is a potent checkpoint in NK cell–mediated tumor immunity

TL;DR: This work has identified cytokine-inducible SH2-containing protein (CIS, encoded by Cish) as a critical negative regulator of IL-15 signaling in NK cells, and uncovered a potent intracellular checkpoint in NK cell–mediated tumor immunity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Familial autoinflammation with neutrophilic dermatosis reveals a regulatory mechanism of pyrin activation

TL;DR: In this paper, a family with a dominantly inherited autoinflammatory disease, distinct from FMF, characterized by childhood-onset recurrent episodes of neutrophilic dermatosis, fever, elevated acute-phase reactants, arthralgia, and myalgia/myositis, was caused by a mutation in MEFV, the gene encoding pyrin (S242R).
