Journal ArticleDOI
Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation for Blast Crisis Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in the Era of Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors: A Retrospective Study by the EBMT Chronic Malignancies Working Party
Aleksandar Radujkovic,Sascha Dietrich,Henric Jan Blok,Arnon Nagler,Francis Ayuk,Jürgen Finke,Johanna Tischer,Jiri Mayer,Yener Koc,Federica Sorà,Jakob Passweg,Jenny Byrne,Pavel Jindra,Joan Hendrik Veelken,Gérard Socié,Johan Maertens,Nicolaas Schaap,Michael Stadler,Maija Itälä-Remes,Eleni Tholouli,Mutlu Arat,Vanderson Rocha,Per Ljungman,Ibrahim Yakoub-Agha,Nicolaus Kröger,Yves Chalandon,Yves Chalandon +26 more
TL;DR: Survival of patients allografted for BC CML was strongly dependent on the pre-transplant remission status, and conventional prognostic factors remained the major determinants of outcome, whereas in those with active BC at transplant, UD transplantation was associated with prolonged LFS in the authors' study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Allogeneic hematopoietic SCT for adults AML using i.v. BU in the conditioning regimen: outcomes and risk factors for the occurrence of hepatic sinusoidal obstructive syndrome.
Arnon Nagler,Myriam Labopin,Raanan Berger,Donald Bunjes,A Campos,Gérard Socié,N Kröger,Hakan Goker,Ibrahim Yakoub-Agha,Avichai Shimoni,Mohamad Mohty,Vanderson Rocha +11 more
TL;DR: Outcomes of HSCT using i.v. BU are encouraging in this setting, SOS incidence is low and it is influenced by the type of donor and disease status at the time of transplant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Second- and third-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors for Philadelphia-positive adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia relapsing post allogeneic stem cell transplantation-a registry study on behalf of the EBMT Acute Leukemia Working Party
Klaus Hirschbühl,Myriam Labopin,Mohamed Houhou,Ludovic Gabellier,Hélène Labussière-Wallet,Bruno Lioure,Dietrich W. Beelen,Jan J. Cornelissen,Gerald Wulf,Pavel Jindra,Hervé Tilly,Jakob Passweg,Riita Niittyvuopio,Gesine Bug,C. Schmid,Arnon Nagler,Sebastian Giebel,Mohamad Mohty +17 more
TL;DR: Evaluated the use of second-/third-generation TKI in 140 patients with Ph’+ ALL, suffering from measurable residual disease, molecular relapse, or hematological relapse after allogeneic stem cell transplantation following alloSCT, and response rates were 71% and 61% respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Halofuginone Prevents Subglottic Stenosis in a Canine Model
TL;DR: This preliminary study shows that halofuginone is effective in preventing subglottic stenosis caused by an acute injury and has a potential therapeutic role in preventing SGS in humans.
Journal Article
Major salivary gland involvement in graft-versus-host disease: considerations related to pathogenesis, the role of cytokines and therapy.
Rafael M. Nagler,Arnon Nagler +1 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to summarize the data that have been published recently concerning salivary involvement in GVHD and to suggest an underlying mechanism for the disease and its related 'state-of-the-art' therapeutic policy.
