Incidence, Risk Factors, and Long-term Outcome of Acute Leukemia Patients With Early Candidemia After Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation: A Study by the Acute Leukemia and Infectious Diseases Working Parties of European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation
Simone Cesaro,Gloria Tridello,Nicole M. A. Blijlevens,Per Ljungman,Charles Craddock,Mauricette Michallet,Alexander M Martin,John A. Snowden,Mohamad Mohty,Johan Maertens,Jacob Passweg,Eefke Petersen,Anne Nihtinen,Cecilia Isaksson,Noel Milpied,Pierre Simon Rohlich,Eric Deconinck,Charles Crawley,Marie Pierre Ledoux,Jennifer Hoek,Arnon Nagler,Jan Styczyński +21 more
TL;DR: The early occurrence of candidemia after HSCT is still associated with higher NRM and lower short- and-long-term OS, and the occurrence of a candidemia episode by day 100 was an independent risk factor for higher NRm and lower OS.
Journal ArticleDOI
HLA-Mismatched Donors in Patients with Myelodysplastic Syndrome: An EBMT Registry Analysis
Marie Robin,Raphaël Porcher,Annalisa Ruggeri,Didier Blaise,Christine Wolschke,Linda Koster,Emanuele Angelucci,Friedrich Stölzel,Victoria T Potter,Ibrahim Yakoub-Agha,Yener Koc,Fabio Ciceri,Jürgen Finke,Hélène Labussière-Wallet,Maria Jesús Pascual Cascon,Mareike Verbeek,Alessandro Rambaldi,Jan J. Cornelissen,Patrice Chevallier,Rohini Radia,Arnon Nagler,Nathalie Fegueux,Eliane Gluckman,Theo de Witte,Nicolaus Kröger +24 more
TL;DR: Patients with myelodysplastic syndrome who have been transplanted from a haploidentical donor using PTCy, an HLA-mismatched unrelated donor (marrow or peripheral blood stem cells), or an unrelated mismatched CB donor have significantly better outcome than those receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from a CB donor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective CD4+ T-cell depletion does not prevent graft-versus-host disease.
Arnon Nagler,Reba Condiotti,Corinne Nabet,Ella Naparstek,Reuven Or,Simcha Samuel,Shimon Slavin +6 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that selective CD4 T-cell depletion does not prevent GVHD and graft-versus-leukemia reaction after HLA-matched BMT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation for primary refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia: A report from the Acute Leukemia Working Party of the EBMT
Jiří Pavlů,Myriam Labopin,Anna K. Zoellner,Ioanna Sakellari,Matthias Stelljes,Jürgen Finke,Renato Fanin,Gernot Stuhler,Boris V. Afanasyev,Adrian Bloor,Achilles Anagnostopoulos,Mohamad Mohty,Sebastian Giebel,Arnon Nagler +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors retrospectively studied outcomes of transplantation for cases of primary refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Pthis article ALL) reported to European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation registry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with unrelated cord blood or haploidentical donor grafts in adult patients with secondary acute myeloid leukemia, a comparative study from Eurocord and the ALWP EBMT
Annalisa Ruggeri,Myriam Labopin,Bipin N. Savani,Annalisa Paviglianiti,Didier Blaise,Fernanda Volt,Fabio Ciceri,Andrea Bacigalupo,Johanna Tischer,Patrice Chevallier,Yener Koc,Jan J. Cornelissen,G. Ehninger,Guillermo Sanz,E. Deconinck,Vanderson Rocha,Frédéric Baron,Mohamad Mohty,Eliane Gluckman,Arnon Nagler +19 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that HAPLO is associated with better GRFS and lower aGvHD compared to UCBT in patients with sAML and that UCBT can be a valid alternative for sAMl patients who lack a matched sibling, a proper haploidentical or an unrelated donor.
