Journal ArticleDOI

Structural determination of the sialic acid polysaccharide antigens of Neisseria meningitidis serogroups B and C with carbon 13 nuclear magnetic resonance.

TL;DR: The application of 13-C nuclear magnetic resonance to the analysis of some sialic acid-containing meningococcal polysaccharide antigens is described and complete assignments of the spectra of both the native serogroup B and the de-O-acetylated serogroups C polySaccharides have been made.
Journal ArticleDOI

A deuterium nuclear magnetic resonance study of the condensing effect of cholesterol on egg phosphatidylcholine bilayer membranes. I. Perdeuterated fatty acid probes.

TL;DR: The 2H NMR data show that cholesterol induces a high degree of order in the acyl chains of the phospholipid while maintaining the general profile of high order near the head group and relatively low order at the middle of the bilayer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Methodological consensus on clinical proton MRS of the brain: Review and recommendations

Martin Wilson, +48 more
TL;DR: A consensus is presented on deficiencies in widely available MRS methodology and validated improvements that are currently in routine use at several clinical research institutions, and use of the semi‐adiabatic localization by adiabatic selective refocusing sequence is a recommended solution.
