Journal ArticleDOI

Cerebral Perfusion and Cerebrovascular Reactivity Are Reduced in White Matter Hyperintensities

TL;DR: Results show that a change in the hemodynamic status is present within the WMH, making these areas more likely to be exposed to transient ischemia inducing myelin rarefaction, and MRI may be used to examine the effect of therapeutic strategies designed to prevent or normalize vascular changes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intravenous alteplase for stroke with unknown time of onset guided by advanced imaging: systematic review and meta-analysis of individual patient data

Götz Thomalla, +775 more
- 14 Nov 2020 -
TL;DR: In patients who have had a stroke with unknown time of onset with a DWI-FLAIR or perfusion mismatch, intravenous alteplase resulted in better functional outcome at 90 days than placebo or standard care despite an increased risk of symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Perfusion quantification using Gaussian process deconvolution.

TL;DR: In this work, a method using the Gaussian process for deconvolution (GPD) is proposed, and it is shown that GPD is comparable to SVD with a variable optimized threshold when determining the maximum of the IRF, which is directly related to the perfusion.
