Penumbral imaging and functional outcome in patients with anterior circulation ischaemic stroke treated with endovascular thrombectomy versus medical therapy: a meta-analysis of individual patient-level data

Bruce C.V. Campbell, +1296 more
- 01 Jan 2019 -
TL;DR: Estimated ischaemic core volume was independently associated with functional independence and functional improvement but did not modify the treatment benefit of endovascular thrombectomy over standard medical therapy for improved functional outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antiplatelet drug discontinuation is a risk factor for ischemic stroke

Igor Sibon, +1 more
- 13 Apr 2004 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the frequency of stroke occurring after APD discontinuation, the cause of discontinuation and the delay between APD disruption and stroke and found that only 4.49% of strokes were related to a recent APD drug discontinuation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mutational spectrum of the CHAC gene in patients with chorea-acanthocytosis.

TL;DR: The preponderance of mutations that are predicted to cause absence of gene product is consistent with the recessive inheritance of this disease and is a reflection of the large number of exons that comprise the CHAC gene.
