Special Issue-articles on “Cellular Lipid Binding Proteins”

TL;DR: The proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Lipid Binding Proteins, held in Sendai, September 2004, were scheduled to be published as a single Focussed Issue of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, but due to an unfortunate error at the publisher's the various contributions to these proceedings have been published in four distinct issues.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluating possible acute coronary syndrome in primary care: the value of signs, symptoms, and plasma heart-type fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP). A diagnostic study.

TL;DR: Sensitivity of the current H-FABP POC test as a stand-alone test is poor, either owing to limitations of the marker or of the test device, andUsability of a CDR derived from these results is doubtful.
Book ChapterDOI

Fatty Acid Binding Protein as an Early Plasma Marker of Myocardial Ischemia and Risk Stratification

TL;DR: Interest in biochemical markers of myocardial injury has increased for two reasons: the introduction of new therapeutic strategies has called for earlier and more appropriate diagnosis of patients admitted to the emergency room with chest pain, and several new plasma markers have been introduced.
