Journal ArticleDOI
Lymphocyte reconstitution after allogeneic blood stem cell transplantation for hematologic malignancies
Z. S. Pavletic,Shantaram S. Joshi,Samuel J. Pirruccello,Stefano R. Tarantolo,Jeffrey P. Kollath,Elizabeth C. Reed,P. J. Bierman,Julie M. Vose,Phyllis I. Warkentin,Thomas G. Gross,K. Nasrati,James O. Armitage,Anne Kessinger,Michael R. Bishop +13 more
TL;DR: After alloBSCT lymphocyte reconstitution is faster than after alloBMT, and that quicker lymphocyte recovery predicts better survival in the allo BSCT setting, are suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI
NCCN Guidelines® insights: Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, version 3.2016 featured updates to the NCCN guidelines
Steven M. Horwitz,Andrew D. Zelenetz,Leo I. Gordon,William G. Wierda,Jeremy S. Abramson,Ranjana H. Advani,C. Babis Andreadis,Nancy L. Bartlett,John C. Byrd,Luis Fayad,Richard I. Fisher,Martha Glenn,Thomas M. Habermann,Nancy L. Harris,Francisco J. Hernandez-Ilizaliturri,Richard T. Hoppe,Mark S. Kaminski,Chris R. Kelsey,Youn H. Kim,Susan Krivacic,Ann S. La Casce,Matthew A. Dwyer,Hema Sundar,Pierluigi Porcu +36 more
TL;DR: The important updates to the NCCN Guidelines for NHL, specific to the management of patients with relapsed or refractory PTCL, are highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global microRNA expression profiling uncovers molecular markers for classification and prognosis in aggressive B-cell lymphoma
Javeed Iqbal,Yulei Shen,Xin Huang,Yanyan Liu,Laura Wake,Cuiling Liu,Karen E Deffenbacher,Cynthia M. Lachel,Chao Wang,Joseph Rohr,Shuangping Guo,Lynette M. Smith,George E. Wright,Sharathkumar Bhagavathi,Karen Dybkær,Kai Fu,Timothy C. Greiner,Julie M. Vose,Elaine S. Jaffe,Lisa M. Rimsza,Andreas Rosenwald,German Ott,Jan Delabie,Elias Campo,Rita M. Braziel,James R. Cook,Raymond R. Tubbs,James O. Armitage,Dennis D. Weisenburger,Louis M. Staudt,Randy D. Gascoyne,Timothy W. McKeithan,Timothy W. McKeithan,Wing C. Chan,Wing C. Chan +34 more
TL;DR: Predictive miRNA biomarker signatures in DLBCL are identified, including high expression of miR-155, which is significantly associated with rituximab plus cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone treatment failure, suggesting a novel treatment option for resistantDLBCL.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hedgehog-induced survival of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells in a stromal cell microenvironment: a potential new therapeutic target.
Ganapati V. Hegde,Katie J. Peterson,Katie J. Peterson,Katy Emanuel,Katy Emanuel,Amit K. Mittal,Avadhut D. Joshi,John D. Dickinson,Gayathri J. Kollessery,Robert G. Bociek,Philip J. Bierman,Julie M. Vose,Dennis D. Weisenburger,Shantaram S. Joshi +13 more
TL;DR: Results show that Hh signaling is important in the pathogenesis of B-CLL and, hence, may be a potential therapeutic target, and selective down-regulation of GLI1 by antisense oligodeoxynucleotides (GLI1-ASO) results in decreased BCL2 expression and cell survival, suggesting that GLI 1 may regulate BCL 2 and, thereby, modulate cell survival in B- CLL.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Profiling Improves Classification and Prognostication of Nodal Peripheral T-Cell Lymphomas: Results of a Phase III Diagnostic Accuracy Study
Pier Paolo Piccaluga,Fabio Fuligni,Antonio De Leo,Clara Bertuzzi,Maura Rossi,Francesco Bacci,Elena Sabattini,Claudio Agostinelli,Anna Gazzola,Maria Antonella Laginestra,Claudia Mannu,Maria Rosaria Sapienza,Sylvia Hartmann,Martin L. Hansmann,Roberto Piva,Javeed Iqbal,John C. Chan,D. D. Weisenburger,Julie M. Vose,Monica Bellei,Massimo Federico,Giorgio Inghirami,Pier Luigi Zinzani,Stefano Pileri +23 more
TL;DR: A phase III diagnostic accuracy study to test the ability of gene expression profiles (GEPs; index test) to identify PTCL subtype supports the usage of an MC as additional tool in the diagnostic workup of nodal P TCL.
