TL;DR: High-resolution spatial maps of the global abundance of soil nematodes and the composition of functional groups show that soil nematode are found in higher abundances in sub-Arctic regions, than in temperate or tropical regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nematode community, trophic structure and population fluctuation in soybean fields
TL;DR: Os fitoparasitas tiveram populacoes reduzidas no final do ciclo da cultura, se mantiveram em nivel baixo na estacao seca e no periodo de desenvolvimento inicial das plantas, aumentando durante o crescimento das mesmas.

TL;DR: This dataset can help to gain insight into the spatial distribution patterns of soil nematode abundance and community composition, and the environmental drivers shaping these patterns.
Journal ArticleDOI
Land use, soil properties and climate variables influence the nematode communities in the Caatinga dry forest
Juliane Vanessa Carneiro de Lima da Silva,Maria Noel Clerici Hirschfeld,Juvenil Enrique Cares,André Morgado Esteves +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the changes in the structure of nematode communities in three different types of land use (agricultural areas, secondary forest and natural forest) in the Caatinga, at Catimbau National Park, Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gene expression analysis in Musa acuminata during compatible interactions with Meloidogyne incognita.
Nancy Eunice Niño Castañeda,Gabriel Sergio Costa Alves,Rosane Mansan Almeida,Edson Perito Amorim,Claudia Fortes Ferreira,Roberto C. Togawa,Marcos Mota do Carmo Costa,Priscila Grynberg,Jansen R. P. Santos,Juvenil Enrique Cares,Robert N.G. Miller +10 more
TL;DR: Investigating the root transcriptome in Musa acuminata genotypes 4297‐06 (AA) and Cavendish Grande Naine (CAV) during early compatible interactions with RKNs provides insights into genes modulated during infection and giant cell formation.
