A percolation model for the conductivity of mixed phase, mixed ion aluminas
TL;DR: In this paper, effective medium percolation theory was used to predict the measured conductivity in two phase systems, including mixed phase, mixed alkali ion β aluminas, if adequate account is taken of such factors as grain misorientation and ion distribution.

Polycrystalline H3O+-β/β″-alumina: - A designed superionic composite for steam electrolysts
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of polycrystalline H 3 O + -β/β″-Al 2 O 3 ceramics is described, wherein the appropriate strength and conductivity are developed in a precursor K/Na-β/α-Al O 3 ceramic based on microstructural refinement and mixed-alkali/percolation principals respectively.
